Join us for a meaningful dive cleanup event, sponsored by the National Save the Sea Turtle Foundation, and help prepare our reefs and wrecks for sea turtle nesting season. Here’s everything you need to know:
Dive for Free!
- Dive boat fees will be waived for all cleanup participants.
- Bring your own dive equipment and tanks or rent them.
Participant Perks
Each diver will receive:- A long-sleeve event T-shirt
- Collection bags
- Line-cutting equipment
- Bottles for hooks (while supplies last)
- A Foundation representative will be on each boat to guide divers on safe debris removal to avoid damaging the reefs.
- Debris will be sorted and logged on board before being brought ashore for further documentation.
Post-Dive Debris Sorting
After docking, all debris will be:- Brought to a central tent location.
- Sorted, weighed, and documented by volunteers following Debris Free Ocean protocol.
- Debris will be logged with SeaFan the non-profit arm of the Department of Environmental Protection and with PADI Aware and we are officially part of the KEEP AMERICA BEAUTIFUL‘s “GREAT AMERICAN CLEAN UP”.
- Fishing line is being recycled by Coastal Connections in Vero Beach.
- Data will be recorded for further reporting (details on where this information will be submitted are forthcoming).
After Party Celebration
Celebrate your hard work at the Grandview Public Market in West Palm Beach on Friday, April 25th, from 6-9 PM.- Complimentary valet parking (recommended), or street/lot parking available.
- Each diver will receive a $25 food card to use at 9 food vendors. Additional purchases can be made directly.
- Enjoy Happy Hour pricing on beer, wine, and cocktails.
- Live music by Love Medicine.
- Participate in a raffle and potentially a silent auction for some amazing prizes!
